Mr.E Photography is Rich Engelbrecht. He is a life-long resident of the Rochester and Finger Lakes region. He grew up on an apple farm in Hilton, NY, and now lives with his wife Linda and dog Kooper on the shores of Conesus Lake, NY. His wife is very understanding and indeed, participates and encourages his retirement career.

He retired from the local workforce after 35 years of working, mostly as an IT specialist at a few big-name local companies, with extensive experience in IT Security, Web Design, IT Project Management, Programming and more. Along the way he worked his way through RIT earning AAS in Electromechanical Engineering, a BS and MS in IT.

He has been taking pictures for most of his life, starting out on a Kodak Brownie camera used for vacation and family snapshots as a kid. As his family grew, so did his interest in photography. When the digital age hit, he embraced it. Digital photography was able to combine his technology background and his artistic side.

He has been a contributor to a variety of local, regional, national and international publications and is the lead photographer for a local monthly newspaper; The Lake Country Echo. He also authors a photography column for the paper as well as contributing local interest stories, supported by his photography. Many of his images are licensed to various websites around the world.

He has also contributed his knowledge to wikiHow, the most trusted how-to site on the internet as a co-author and subject-matter expert commenter on multiple photography-related articles. 

He has provided photography services for local events, including concert, sports and community events

He shows at many local arts festivals as well as established art galleries. He has a permanent gallery at the Oak Valley Inn in Geneseo, NY

He has authored and published a book; “Conesus Reflections, A Photo Journey of Conesus Lake”, available on Amazon.com.

He is the Image Chair and Vice-President of a local camera club; Genesee Valley Photographic Society, and webmaster for a regional photography group: The Niagara Frontier Camera Club.

He runs a regional Facebook group focusing on the life and images of Conesus Lake with well over 5000 members.

Most of all he has a passion for the area and uses his photography  to share it.
