16th Annual Photographer’s Dream Day


The 16th Annual Photographer’s Dream Day event was held June 9 at the Mount Morris Dam & Recreation Area. It was presented by: The Army Corps of Engineers [Buffalo District] and the Canyon Camera Club.

The Canyon Camera Club, started in 1948, takes its name from the “Grand Canyon in the

East,” Letchworth State Park. The CCC usually meets the first and/or third Wednesdays, Sept. through May, in Perry, NY at the Arts Council for Wyoming County.

The CCC is one of eighteen Niagara Frontier Regional Camera Clubs located in western New York, Pennsylvania, and southern Ontario, Canada. For information on the NFRCC and to find a club near you, please see: www.nfrcc.org

Activities included:

  • Members of the Rochester Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, in full uniform, and proudly displaying a variety of flags

  • Members of the Victorian Dance Society from Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, The Amherst Photography dancers held a Victorian picnic and games.

  • Presentations by Wild Spirit

  • Wild Spirit was formed in 1995 as a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Over the years, Wild Spirit became one of the premier Wildlife Rehab Centers in the Southern part of Western New York (Delevan, NY).

  • Dam tours and ranger led nature walks

  • Photography seminars

  • Antique cars, horse and buggy

Lunch was also available to purchase from the Mt. Morris Cub Scout Pack #82
